After cold rolled round steel surface with iron oxide skin, cracks, size deviation, shapedeviation defects so must do resection treatment. A lot of round steel are shender rod, so processingdifficulties and low efficiency on ordinary machine tools. The efficient cylindrical machine tools isthe special machine are used to remove the large ratio round steel, it is often called peeling machine,peeler. There is a new technology, new process to process slender shaft workpiece, with a highdegree of automation, high efficiency and high precision.Firstly, in this thesis introduced in detail the structural design of the machine tool, including thefeed mechanism, the pinch mechanism, the cutting portion, the traction mechanism and a lowerfeeding mechanism. And in UG environment designed three-dimensional solid modeling of themachine.Secondly, kinematic analysis according to the form of the movement of the machine tool, tosolve the tool rotation self orientation and rotation balance issue.Then I established the simplekinetic model of the spindle assembly, so using centralized quality analyse the transverse vibration.Using the computer simulation verified the accuracy of model.Finally, using the finite element analysed structure stress of the knife rest, and did modalanalysis of the state of the clamping round steel. Structural design strength verify and hollow shaftassembly body and round steel whether resonance validation, are the machine in the structuraldesign of the key consideration. Meanwhile, I optimized designed its quality in order to improve thequality of the rotation of the spindle, reducing the inertia.
