Uncontained turbine engine rotor failure (UERF) is one of typical particular risks threatening Airplane safety. The quantitative assessment of airplane in the case of UERF is an effective method to meet design requirements of uncontained safety, and to verify the requirements. For the lack of existing research work about hazard identification and computer-assisted quantitative assessment under the uncontained failure mode, the assessment methods of UERF was studied in depth. Based on the results of hazard identification of UERF, a quantitative assessment model of hazards based on Delmia was established, also the simulation results were provided to testify the feasibility and effectiveness of this method for different uncontained failure modes. The research in this paper mainly includes:1)Definitions and assumptions for UERF are improved; Existing uncontained failure models are analyzed and parameters of the uncontained model are defined; also the basis methods and process for quantitative assessment of UERF are presented.2)Based on the results of airplane level FHA,a method for hazard identification is studied; Then base on study of the method, steps to establish UERF fault tree and the solving method of minimum cut set, a method for hazard identification is proposed, also give a example analysis.3)Calculating methods and procedures based on Delmia software for UERF quantitative assessment are proposed. the parameters as spread risk angle, and translational risk angle and detection step length are defined; and base on the study for interference detection algorithm, finish the space interference detection on Delmia; and the basic model and the mean model for airplane of hazard probability is established.4)The basic functions and the correlative technologies of simulation system are introduced.
