The field of composite materials in aerospace applications has become an advanced sign. Thecharacteristics of aerospace composite materials are varieties, small batch, process complexity andre-entry, etc. resulting in a composite plant production planning and scheduling difficulties. As theapplications of composite materials in aerospace are increasing, the requirements of aerospacecomposite materials are getting higher and higher. Efficient production planning andscheduling system can greatly improve the utilization of equipment and the productivity of workshop.Aim to the production process characteristics of aerospace composite materials, this paper haspresented a model of aerospace composites manufacturing planning and scheduling based on constrainttheory. the thermoforming process as the bottleneck of the composite materials production planningand scheduling processes, combined with the actual production of the composite materials workshop,the bottleneck process constraints and objective function have raised, and the mathematical model ofthe scheduling and optimization for the bottleneck procedures; Based on the scheduling results of thebottleneck process, using push-pull mode production to schedule the non-bottleneck processes; Finally,according to the scheduling model, design and develop the aerospace composites production planningscheduling system, from receiving the parts plan, to part plan preparation, bottleneck process planpreparation, non-bottleneck plan preparation, and finally, under the task to each section. The system forscheduling model has been verified.Through research of the aerospace composites production planning and scheduling model, appliedthe constraints theory to plan and schedule the composite material production system, scheduled andoptimized the bottleneck device, established the appropriate model, the production of the compositematerials have achieved a smart scheduling mode.
