Recently, China has became the primary motorcycle production and consumptioncountry in the world, a large number of exhaust emissions has caused seriousenvironmental pollution, meanwhile, the oil resources is poor relatively. Electriccontrol of motorcycle engine is the only way to protect the environment and releasethe energy crisis. This paper analyzed the development of motorcycle engine emission regulations athome and abroad, and studied on the basic principle and composition of electroniccontrol system for motorcycle engine, to developed the electronic control system ofLJ157FMI-3A (CG125) engine produced by Luoyang Northern EK-CHORMotorcycle Co,.Ltd.. Based on the practical considerations, a device to meet the lowcost and the electric control system precision has been designed. This system iscomposed of sensors, actuators and ECU: sensors include Camshaft Position Sensor,Crankshaft Position Sensor, Throttle Position Sensors, Air Charge TemperatureSensors, Engine Temperature Sensors and Battery Voltage Sensors. The two actuatorsinclude Electronic-controlled Injectors and Electronic Control Ignition Devices. This paper developed Calibration PC software for Motorcycle ElectronicallyControlled Engine System based on LabVIEW. This software can accurately controlthe engine’s parameters such as Ignition Timing, Fuel Injection Timing, Fuel InjectionPulse Width and Close Timing, meanwhile it is able to detect engine working in realtime status parameters like Speed, Throttle Position, Air Charge Temperature, EngineTemperature and Battery Voltage. The matching calibration test-bed of electroniccontrol system for motorcycle engine has been built, and the demarcation test for theinitial injection pulse width MAP and the initial ignition timing MAP has beencompleted. Finally, the MAP by BP neural network has been optimized. This methodof designing experiments can significantly reduce test points, and reduce theCalibration workload, and make the changes optimized MAP data more smoothly with no mutation data points, to make the engine work more stably.Because of the great workload, the paper only worked on the power and economy ofthe calibration. The motorcycle engine has been more stable, power, and the economyperformance has been improved after the calibration.
