The hospitals in different place had developed and renovated themselves byvarious means since the1990s, such as new construction、expansion the originals and soon, which satisfy the increasing needs form people who seek medical advice. It’sdifficult to acquire the nearby large-scale construction place for the downtown hospital.The contradiction between the intense build ground and the complex function becamethe main factor which limits the hospital to develop. So many hospitals had to seek tothe vertical space for survival space. They improved the used efficiency by constructingthe comprehensive high-rise buildings.On objective reflection, the comprehensive high-rise buildings made the functionof hospital more consummate and the environmental more graceful, which have someadvantages, such as occupying little space、owning high efficiency、easy connectionbetween department. It’s the one of the way for expansion the originals. However, it willnot only influence the original function layout and traffic streamline due to the tallcharacteristic and complex function, but also made the designing function distributionand traffic organization became difficult.We firstly analysed and summarized the examples and related data from thedomestic and foreign expansion project in the article. We found that the major limitfactor to expansion the originals are unreasonable overall layout、 compositive functionof comprehensive buildings、complex streamline et al, which common exist in ourcurrent large hospital. The unreasonable overall layout include constraint land, disorderlayout, bad environment quality, few parking space. Secondly we discussed theproblems from coordination drawing and integrating function, and rationally analysedthe influence factors, which are the scale and orientation of hospital、the relationsbetween inside and environment、the relations between inside and comprehensivebuildings、the function of each department of the comprehensive buildings accordanceto the standard medical regulations. And also correspondingly formulate the strategymeasures. Then the comprehensive buildings of hanzhong outpatient center hospital wasemployed as research object. We discussed the existing specific problem in the processof design and the relevant reply measures. And put forward initial design ideas to thedesign of comprehensive buildings under the background of building and expansionfrom the point of view of the practice. It’s reference information for the hospital which take expansion project under the background of nervous land. In addition, the researcherproduce some new ideas about the hospital extending via the engineering practice andthe research process. It will be mentioned in the end part of the article.There are four sections in the paper.The exordium is the first chapter. I will introduce the background of research andput forward the purpose and significance of research, confirm the research object andresearch scope and explain the basic concept. And I also summarize the researchsituation of the domestic and foreign and the status of development practice in order toestablishing base for the paper.The second chapter is that the some of existing problem about designingcomprehensive buildings under the background of expansion building.I analyse thedeveloping tendency of the used land and the data about the area per bed.Then I putthe investigation into practice. The main universal problems are that the hospital in theoverall layout and reconstruction design single building.After that, I put forward thecorresponding strategy measures combining the cases of at home and abroad.In the third chapter, I practice and explore the comprehensive buildings ofhanzhong outpatient center hospital for example. And I analyse the the specific situationof the hospital form five parts. They are include introducing item、analysing problem、coordination overall drawing、integraing the functional of building and summarizeing.That’s some of thinking about the reconstruction for hospital in the fourth. Iquestion the scale expanding for hospital and the single building developing to the high.And then I analysis the root causes about expansion for hospital and put forward theright way to solve the difficult in doctoring. They are setting up the really system aboutmedical treatment of3levels and constructing the reasonable layout for the ruralhospitals.
