By now, the ground service delay has been the second largest factor which causes flight delays inhub airports of China. Therefore, the utilization of Ground service equipment will directly determinethe efficiency and quality of the airport service. During the ground service operations, Dispatchersshould not only consider the length of service time, but also consider the stability of service time,Travel time reliability from both the "quantity" and the "qualitativeā€¯ aspects evaluate the groundservice levels of the airport, as to provide valuable decision support information to the Airportmanagers and dispatchers. In order to improve the efficient use of the ground service equipment, reduce the flight delayscaused by service not in time, this paper based on travel time reliability, research the optimization ofground service equipment scheduling at airport. Firstly, introduce the content of ground service andassociated equipments in the airport, as well as the dispatching rules of the ground service equipments.Secondly, connecting the travel time reliability to the ground service equipment scheduling, Proposedthe concept of travel time reliability of the ground service equipment in airport and evaluation methodof travel time reliability. Thirdly, based on the number of ground service equipments whichserve the same aircraft at the same time, divide ground service equipment into two types: Serial-typeground service equipment and parallel-type ground service equipment, and create scheduling modelfor each type, then establishment of the system scheduling model. Finally, using improved geneticalgorithm to solve the model, analysing of the results and given proposals to improve ground servicesystem efficiency.
