The Planning And Design Research Of The Ecological Industrial Park

Eco-industrial park (EIP) is an industrial symbiosis of waste management andrecycling resources to improve efficiency. It links the factories and enterprises inproximity to each other organically, which allows the sharing of resources, theexchange of waste, by product, and the utilization of waste water and energy. The goalis to maximize the economic, environmental, and social benefit through the joint effortof all the units within the industrial symbiosis. Nowadays, it is EIP that stands for thedeveloping tendency of all industrial parks across the world, and its interior designingand planning has become one of the most focused research area in this field.This paper offers an insight into Ecological Industrial Parks. It summarizes itsdefinition, connotations, characteristics, advantages and the development model. It isacknowledged that based on the experience and research in planning and designing anEIP both home and broad, collaborating the development of the industrial chain andcleaner production remains the major concern. It demands more attention and effortwhen deigning the layout of an EIP. Furthermore, this paper attempts to explain theresearch background, the purpose, and the implication.
