The Integration Study Of Chongqing City Space Based On Light Rail Transit

Because of the rapid urbanization, the problem is more and more serious that moreland is needed to live for the increased population. As a result, the urbanization turn tomountain, and the number of mountain cities is increased remarkabely. At the same time,the traffic problems are distinct, and the urban rail transit is built to solve it. Nowadays,there are a large number of studies on the urban rail transit space, but most of them areon the plain city or the comme problems while a few ones are on the mountain city. Thispaper studied the suitability between the urban rail transit and the mountain city spacefrom the point of mountain city space. It would help the urban rail transit and themountain city space to orperate more efficiently.Compared with the plain city, the mountain city is special for the three-dimensinalspace. Due to the characters of the mountain city, the mountain urban rail transit isspecial such as the line with many turnings and ups and downs, the station influencedby the terrian and so on. So, a lot of problems appear of the suitablelity between theurban rail transit and the mountain city space.This paper was based on the thesis of complexing, firstly pointed out theneccessery to integrate. Through the investigation of NO.2light rail transit inChongqing, the problems about the suitablelity were found and the reasons were studied.The reasons to integrate are pointed out. Secondly, it was summarized that thecharacters and choice of urban rail transit in Chongqing, and the elements influencedthe integration are analyzed. Then the perception and principles were studied. Lastly,the methods of integration are proposed from the elements of city function space, transit,landscape and technology problems.This paper was focused on the characters of mountain city and took NO.2light railtransit in Chongqing for example to study. Based on the premise that the urban railtransit line were built, the method of integration the elements related to the urban railtransit were used to solve the problems of the suitability between the urban rail transitand the mountain city space to help to the development of mountain city and urban railtransit.
