Study On The Solution Of Parking Problems In Urban Areas

The rapid development of economy makes more increasing contradictions. A surge of motor vehicles lead to parking difficulty which is one of the urban diseases. At present, in our country, the urban traffic congestion and parking problems grow intensely. The supply and demand for parking is not harmonious. Parking behavior is a bit confusing. Parking at road leads to more serious traffic jams. Improper handling of parking problems not only increases the urban dynamic traffic load, but also seriously leads to urban main artery obstruction. Travel impeded, blocked traffic, environmental destruction and threats to security and other issues emerge ceaselessly. These increase social operating cost and affect urban economic strength and hinder the normal development of social economy. Finally, it constrains urban sustainable development. So, to solve the parking problems is imminent!By taking urban parking problems as the research object, the theory of urban traffic and parking as support, this paper sums up the current urban parking problem and the cause of it. Ii starts with the analysis of urban characteristics on the basis of investigation and of current parking situation. Parking problems exists in many aspects from planning and construction to management, from resource use to management fees. So, this paper puts forward the countermeasures and measures to solve the parking problems by combing different aspects which are society, land, economy, traffic and management.In this paper, how to solve the parking problems is put forward in the study on five aspects of countermeasures. The aspect of planning mainly contains the analysis on urban parking characteristics, structure and relation between supply and demand of parking, the formulation of parking construction, the implementation of special parking plan. The aspect of land use mainly contains the urban corner building, underground construction, mechanical parking construction and ecological construction of parking lot. The aspect of traffic mainly researches traffic microcirculation and public transportation and parking transfer. The aspect of policy contains the formulation of policies and regulations and especially to the parking industry policy and traffic management policy. The aspect of management mainly contains the formulation of parking management system and parking fee standards, the use and public participation of parking guidance system.Only five aspects contact, combine with each other and manage comprehensively, the urban parking difficulties can be eased and improved and the sustainable development of transport can be maintained.
