Abstract/Summary:
In factories’pneumatic systems, people can reduce the power consuming by reducing the air pressure in the whole system, only remain the high pressure in those links where high pressure is necessary. Gas-booster is a device used to increase the pressure, which is based on Pascal theory. With its help, producers can get high pressure conveniently for some special process. However,the gas-boosters need to exhaust compressed air while they are working, then there should be a concept "Volume Efficiency" to measure the work efficiency of different kind of gas-boosters, and the definition of it is "in a period of time, the ratio of compressed air volume produced and the total air volume inflows the gas-booster".In this paper, first find out the factors that affect the gas-booster’s volume efficiency. Then by comparing the gas-booster’s inflow pressure,outflow pressure,driving chamber pressure, compressing chamber pressure in different working condition, then comes the analysis of the flow features of the company A’s gas-booster, means when the inflow pressure, initial outflow pressure changes, how the volume efficiency would change. The stability of outflow pressure is also discussed, basing on the data, some P-V curves(relation between pressure and chamber volume) are drawn.In the following part of the paper, some structure improvements are raised, which are based on the factors that affect gas-booster’s volume efficiency which are mentioned before. Besides,a prototype is made to proving the projects useful.
