As a type of educational architecture, teaching buildings occupies a large proportion in campus. The teaching building is also the material carriers of the entire education and it provides material bases for education. The user of teaching buildings are mostly young, therefore it requires a higher healthy and comfortable degree. A healthy and comfortable studying environment would bring a positive effect on users learning efficiency, as well as the physical and mental health. As the main kind of buildings in campus, reducing the energy consumption of teaching buildings is of great significant for energy-saving of the entire campus. At present, most of teaching buildings still relies on the fan or air-conditioning and artificial lighting to improve the indoor environment comfort, which results in a lot of energy consumption. Through analyzing the energy-saving and green strategy, the article sums up several appropriate green energy-saving measures for teaching buildings in Zhengzhou area, which will be useful to improve the indoor environment, increase the utilization of natural resources and reduce the consumption of traditional energy. The article is consisted of five sections. The first chapter introduced the background, significance and purpose of the researching. The second chapter discussed the climate and development of teaching buildings in Zhengzhou. The third chapter is the core of the article, which summed up the main strategies of green energy-saving. Among the chapter, the focus of the content is the analysis of natural ventilation and natural lighting. Through the assistance of Airpark (CDF simulating software), Autodesk Ecotect Analysis (building environment simulating software) and Desktop Radiance (building illumination simulating software) the author researched the climate characteristic of Zhengzhou area and simulated indoor air flow and illumination, and therefore found the solution. In the fourth chapter the author made a comprehensive analysis, in which several appropriate green energy-saving strategies based on natural lighting and ventilation were summed through improving the inner condition of original building. The fifth chapter of the article is the analysis of advanced instance. Through analyzing the conversion works of Zhengzhou Tourism College and Zhengzhou Foreign Language School to explain the advantages of green teaching buildings and provide a reference for local green teaching building design.
