With the development of wind Power technology and the expansion of wind farm constructions, the SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system of wind farm has been applied widely.And for it’s adavantages in remote data acquisition and supervisory controling function, SCADA of B/S (Browser/Server) structue has replaced the triditional kind of C/S(Client/Server)structure, becoming more and more popular. In this paper, we design and develop a B/S_SCADA system, and apply it to wind farms.We firstly in this paper make comparative Analysis between B/S and C/S structure.By that the superiority of B/S structure is drawn.Meanwhile the Web technology is discussed relevantly.By the software requirements analysis and the research of the oriented wind farm, we design a primary architecture of the SCADA system. The way of communication and the network topology map are chosen baseed on the research of data communication technology.As the underlying data acquisition server,real-time database, relational database, web server are added in, the whole architecture of the SCADA system is made.In this paper we make a deep research of the database server of SCADA, chief function of which is data acquisition. And we make some achivement as follows:We choose OPC(OLE for Process Control) to collect the real-time data of wind turbines through their OPC interface.The collecting program is composed relevantly; We choose PI(Plant Information System) as the real-time database,considering the giant quality of the real-time data collected from the wind turbine every second.A program for PI collecting data from OPC server is composed; We choose SQL Server as the relitional database of the system,in use of sencongdary calculation of the data and storage of the alert data.To distingush the alert data and send them to SQL server from PI, a program is designed;In the paper We also show the design of the data Read/Write function, data processing function, alarm processing function,supervisory control system of the SCADA system.Finally, the interface in the browser of the system is show. This could enable us a remote logging in, and the wind turbine supervispry contol function, fault alarm function, Report Generation and dynamic printing out function is also introduced, which prove the effect of the wind farm SCADA system.
