Taiyuan Old Residential Transformation And Regeneration Research

Nowadays, with the fast development of city transition, city environment reconstruction and renewal is getting more and more important to the City development. Many residential areas constitute a city and they are the cell and miniature of a city. The environment construction level of residential areas reflects the development level of a city. The environment improvement of the residential area is an important part of its environment construction, and it is the eternal theme of the city construction, but at the same time it is a complicated and systemic project, especially to such a city like Taiyuan with hundreds years history and profound culture cause. This paper first concludes interrelated theories of the residential areas environment reconstruction, then analyses the environment condition of the residential areas in Taiyuan, from 1980’s to1990’s and probes into the continable, organic and characteristic landscape environment method on the residential areas environment renewal in Taiyuan according to its current condition. And I hope this paper can give some academic advice in the reconstruction practices of the residential areas.This paper is composed by five parts:The first chapter is exordium, mainly discusses the study background, study purpose and its contents and summarizes correlative theories of the residential area reconstruction home and abroad; The second chapter analyses the environment condition of the residential areas in Taiyuan, built from1980’s to1990’s. Firstly, this chapter defines the interrelate concepts in this paper. The inhabitants living environment can classify into inside environment and outside environment. This paper mainly aims at the outside. On the basis of defining concepts, the author compares the old environment condition of the residential areas with the new from Macro and Micro aspects, then the author concludes the features of the residential areas in Taiyuan, built from1980’s to1990’s. The third chapter studies on the correlative factors of the residential areas environment construction, aiming at the1980s to1990’s residential areas. It mainly analyses five aspects as follow:First, the relationship between the overall city plan and the residential areas construction. Second, the plan and program of the city residential areas requires discussing the differences between the new construction control index and the renewal control index. Third, this paper analyzes current buildings layout and death trap of the old residential areas. Forth relation between environment renewal and ambience. Fifth, the changes of the resident environment requirement influence the environment reform. The fourth chapter discusses the method of transforming the environment of the198O’s-1990’s in Taiyuan residential area. This paper analyses the future trends of residential area environmental, proposed the changing principles of the residential areas. Then the author discusses the ways of study further. Finally, there is some conclusion to the paper, further expounded views. The renewal of the residential area environment is a complex, systematic, long—term project. With the social development and progress of the times, the new residential area will eventually become an old residential area, the contradictions will reproduce. Thus we should continuously explore and summarize and change the methods and theories in the conflicts in accordance with the specific Situation to continuously update and enrich.
