With the construction of scientific technology matures increasingly mature, high-rise steel structure building is constantly emerging, at the same time,it is increasingly used on the high building.More and more domestic and foreign experts committed to the braced frame system research, and made a lot of achievements, but many problems that are worthy of further research are still.The support with different form has different mechanical property,so Mechanical Design engineer should diseved in the problem that how to choose right brace types.Sheli Tower in Jing chuan county which is antiqued towel with steel frame system is a local landmark significant in history,culture,policy,economic.So the towel is Regarding Very High Request in safety and reliability of structure.This paper’s research object is Sheli Tower. The work and conclusion as follows:This article uses MIDAS software to analyze the project structure in simplex condition, get the results that the maximal displacement of the structure is at the bottom of the cornice under the constant load and live load, the layers lateral and vertex lateral under the wind load and earthquake can satisfy the standard requirements; Analyze on the whole structure, do cycle checking, layers lateral checking, cut weight ratio checking, lateral stiffness irregular checking and antidumping checking respectively, and come to the conclusion that every index conforms to the standard spec.This article analyze the impact caused by the support layout to the lateral resistance performance of Sheli tower structure:do the8degree fortification intensity checking of the situation that remove support from the structure, find the spec threshold of the lateral value. After increasing the sectional area of the column to meet the standard requirement, we found it’s uneconomical through the statistics of the steel quantity of the structure; By selecting the diagonal center support, X type center support, and V type eccentric support (select the energy consuming beam’s length of1/8across,1/4across) and comparing, we eventually come to the conclusion that the choice of V type eccentric support with1/8across of energy consuming beam’s length not only can provide enough lateral stiffness to the structure, but also consume the minimum amount of steel, and meanwhile can solve the problem of large lateral displacement between tower’s layers caused by the difference between structure stiffness and main body stiffness.
