At present, energy problem is a main one many countries around the world are facing, which have gradually become the main factor that constraints the development of the nation. As a country with large population, and a extreamly low per capita energy share, the energy issue has now become a major bottleneck which restrict China’s economic development. As one of the most significant transportation means, rail transportation has a broad space in energy saving, and by improving the traffic manipulation to reduce the energy consumption of train is a simple but effective way. Based on the operating methods previous scholars proposed on the reducing of train energy consumption, the author bring forward a new optimized operating scheme---the conversion from time-saving mode to energy-saving mode.Time-saving mode is a way of operating according to different road situation and section speed, on the condition that safety is guaranteed and operation is reasonable. The strategy obtained by improving the train speed to complete the given driving distance at a relatively high speed, thus keep the driving time in a minimum is called time-saving mode.Energy-saving mode is transferred from time-saving mode. To reduce the energy consumption to a minimum, it puts the driving time in a given driving distance as a constraint, and adopts the reasonable optimizing methods based on the time-saving mode. It reduces the energy consumption by extending the driving, time in the given distance until it reaches the predetermined one. Based on the previous study of former scholars, the text hereby proposed three optimizing ways——traction optimization, inertia optimization and parking optimization. Furthermore, by reducing energy consumption rate as a standard for the choice of strategy during the whole optimizing process significantly maximize its efficiency.At the last stage, to verify the correctness and practicability of the theory, the author hereby developed a set of train optimization software which can simulate the train movement based on VC++6.0. It studies the relevant data acquired from the section of Qingshuihe to Wangguiyao, which demonstrates a trademark result in energy saving. Meanwhile, we found that while the energy consumption reduces as the given section running time increases, the decreasing magnitude also reduced. So in driving organism, we can adopt the reasonable section running time along with the corresponding strategy provided by the software to get the optimized operating effects.
