With China’s rapid economic development, the speed of the urbanization process accelerated, expanding the size of cities, the rapid growth of urban population, coupled with enhanced purchasing power of residents, a sharp rise in the number of urban vehicles makes the growing problem of urban traffic. Residents travel difficult the construction of urban transportation problems need to be resolved. Urban rail transit with advantages of other modes of transportation unmatched, like speed, punctuality rate, transport capacity, save land and energy-saving and environmental protection, effective to solve large urban trips rare problem.Chongqing Rail Transit planning the recent six-lane ring, long-term "nine-line part, now been put into operation a Rail Transit Line, the second line one, a third line and its Northextension line. Urban rail transit is a large-scale public transport infrastructure is a large investment, long construction period, after the completion of the transformation is difficult, and comprehensive systems engineering. Therefore, the need for rational planning and scientific passenger flow forecast. This paper describes the rail transit passenger flow forecast forecasting process of the law of the four stages, each stage of the typical prediction model described in detail with the help of TransCad and EMME/2two widely used transport software to help predict. Distinguish between the four stages of the passenger flow forecast selected cross-classification model, Ur Heath gravity distribution model, the Logit mode of transportation division of the optimal strategy of the model and EMME/2software, the various stages of Chongqing Rail Transit Network in Chongqing Rail Transit numbers across the board daily traffic, peak hour traffic.
