With the step-by-step forming of China’s passenger dedicated network, the choice of passenger’s travel mode has been greatly improved. Security, convenient, fast have been important consideration for traveling choice, which demand the rail transport products higher, and then public transport operation of passenger dedicated line will become a trend. On the passenger dedicated line, the train runs as the public transport operation, the ability of the point and the line of the entire line should coordinate with the train in order to ensure sustainable, efficient operation. As a point of the line,the passenger station’s ability will become bottlenecks of the whole line’s ability. How to layout the equipments of the station, especially the throat area in order to make the train runs more efficiently in the station? This article is based here, proceeding with an analysis of the arrangement of the yard and throat area of the station, studying the throat area of the station should satisfy which condition and how to optimize under the terms of the public transport operation. The main contents include the following aspects:1. This paper expounds the basic structure and composition of the throat area of railway passenger station, and summarizes the characteristics and methods of the count of the capability of the throat area of the station, and analyzes the operating properties and the operating process of the different nature of the PDL2. The paper investigates the influencing factors of the arrangement of the throat area of the station of PDL, and analyzes various factors how to affect the structural elements of the throat area of the yard, and analyzes and deals with the parameters of the basic structural unit of the throat area, which is used as the reference to the principle of graphic design of the throat area.3. Based on the theory of binary tree, the paper abstracts the turnout, clipping, circular curve, straight line as nodes in the binary tree, which are in the ladder line of the wiring harness of the throat area. Combining with the related constraints in the design of the yard, the optimal binary tree is proposed based on computer ladder line layout method, for the computer to realize automatic station stairs line scheme is designed to provide feasible basis. Throat route to the rail and cross the line configuration are analyzed, and discussed its column form how to meet the requirement of the route of the station.4. Based on the public transport operation, the paper made the analytic calculation on the limitation of the adjacent train operation interval on the length of the throat area of the station, draw the limit of the length of the throat area under the condition of different time interval. On this basis, the throat area layout optimization model is established, and according to the actual design of the throat, the model decomposition method, combining with the instance, the feasible solution is obtained.In this paper, the throat area of the station is divided into route area and throat harness area two parts for analysis. The paper summed up constraints and steps of the automatic design of the layout of the throat area structure, which lay the foundation for the automatic generation of network structure of the throat area by computer. This can be used for quantitative and qualitative analysis of the layout of the throat area of the PDL, and the optimization of the layout of throat area.
