With the national economic development and improvement of living standards,the defense awareness of the earthquake are also constantly enhanced the traditional structure of seismic design methods can not meet the requirements of the structure toresist earthquake.In recent years,scholars from various countries have a lot of research on the structural damping,isolation technology and related theory and method,has made some remarkable achievements.In particular increase the structural damping for passive energy dissipation and damping theory and the technology has matured and has been successfully applied to seismic wind control of engineering structures.Energy consumption structure damping technology is set in some parts of the structure of the energy consumingdevices(damper),the friction generated by the energy dissipation devices,elastic-plastic hysteresis back deformation to dissipate or absorb the seismic energy input structure toreduce the main structure of the seismic response.In this paper,the friction damper device in the energy dissipator structure under normal use loads,friction restrained brace(This article is the intermediate column)for the structure to provide sufficient additional stiffness,the damper is not to slip;but the structure in the strong earthquake under the action of friction damper slip structure to provide additional damping and friction acting to dissipate the seismic energy.Friction dampers studied in the past are usually with the support composition of the friction energy dissipation support device occupies a certain amount of buliding space,higher requirements for structure of space,the old device becomes less applicable.Especially large space(such as shops)for the bottom reinforcement of the weak structure,you need to minimize the cost of change and control the layout of the buliding reinforcement,to ensure the buliding’s original use functions,the middle cylindrical friction damping effectively solve the problems mentioned above.And the middle of the column friction damper less information is also not mentioned in the specification.The study of intermediate columnar friction damper is following:(1) Experimental study on intermediate columnar friction damping performance of influencing factors,namely,to consider changes in bolt tension,the friction surface;(2) With the first study results come to the ideal coefficient of friction of the friction damper and friction force-displancement relationship;(3) Setting a comparison test,study the impact of the the friction surface roughness changes on the dampers(friction, bolt axial force,friction coefficient)(4) Obtained by the test damper coefficient of friction and hysteresis curve model for damping structural design.At present,the damping control technology in engineering practice more widely,in different forms and performance damper can meet the requirements of the different structural design,through engineering examples known of this study intermediate columnar friction damper has good shock absorption effect,can be better applied to actual provisions of the damper in the specification.
