Products’color image is one part of the products’image and the represent of the visual image in a brand image. Every brand has its own color image, supporting the development of the brand. In the marketing society, the brand competition among different companies is very severe. The development of a product is hardly standing without an inheritance of images. Thus, products’color image is a way that helps people to identify the brand and the overall brand image is better to enhance the development of an enterprise. The embodiment of the image and the color DNA is regular. Based on the definition theory of biological DNA genetic, this paper discusses an idea called“DNA of products’colors”and the expressive patterns of traditional products’color image and variant products’color image in the process of inheritance.The paper uses the CCS tonal diagram and the color temperature chart as its researching methods, and analyzes the products’color image of existing well-known brand; Studying the products’color image; Refining the DNA of inheritance products’color; Based on the external influence factors including people, materials and environment, analyze the formation of products’color image, study the heredity and variation of products’color DNA. This paper also sums up the color characteristics of different brands products by comparing among products in the series of certain brand or products between two brands. By analyzing differences products’colors between different brands, studying mechanism of products’color DNA; By understanding the genetic and variation of products’color DNA, to provide the basis for the inheritance of color design in future.
