With the development of society and the wide use of information technology, the concept of intelligent building came into being. By use of intelligent building construction technology, modern communications technology and computer technology, intelligent building realize the real-time monitoring of environment, intelligent control of equipments in building, and provide users with information services. In the rapid development of urbanization in China today, the people of modern society began to pursue the comfortable and environmentally-friendly living and working environment. How to use the intelligent building technologies to serve our country’s social and urban development, and use of advanced technological methods to provide low-carbon and convenient ways of realizing, is a serious problem to be solved.This thesis takes the intelligent building system based on the sensor and actor network as the research background. The system is on the basis of wireless sensor networks, computer networks and communications network’s integration, use zigbee communication protocol as the underlying protocol between sensor nodes. The perception nodes collect environmental information, such as building temperature, moderate and light, report to the gateway server. The software platform on upper layer process the data, according to predefined control strategies, send control commands to low-level control node to realize the intelligence of electrical appliances and automation control, so as to realize the security, intelligence, energy-saving features of building, increase the indoor personnel the comfortable and low-carbon experience of environment. This thesis first leads to the concept of intelligent buildings, introduces the technical background and development of intelligent buildings, and then introduces the framework of the intelligent building system which this paper based on, describes the technology-related approaches and methods. The thesis describes the structure and functions of the system management platform in detail, and then focuses on design and implementation of user authorization and alarm subsystems which I responsible for. It gives the background of the application subsystems, carries out detailed analysis of the related system requirements, and clarifies user authorization and alarm subsystems’detailed process of design and implementation, while the problems encountered are described. Finally, the subsystems’function and performance are tested, as well as the intelligent building system, and test cases are presented. Then, analysis of test results is done.The system generally applies B/S architecture and MVC design which is easy for users’remote access. The subsystems have excellent usability and strong applicability, and meet the demand of the intelligent building system’construction, while, the design and implementation of the subsystems reflect the characteristics-the whole system’scalability and maintainability, and have full consideration of the whole system’ applications in the future. The design and implementation of the subsystems in this thesis have a very high instruction meaning and reference value in the similar project construction.
