The rapid development of marine traffic transportation brought a very heavy pressure to the port and channel. Studying the vessel traffic flow is a very good solution to relevant problems. As an experiment way, vessel traffic flow simulation has lots of advantages, which can show up the real traffic flow easily through the computer and is benefit for analyzing and forecasting the situation of vessel traffic flow. Finally, we can get a satisfying simulated conclusion.This thesis builds a Ship Produce Model based on the random number technology and parameter features in vessel traffic flow. Vessel traffic volume, vessel speed and interval between ships are considered in the Ship Produce Model. It is also presumed that the direction parameter is included in the model, so the four parameters make the ship initial information more reasonable. Through analyzing the real vessel traffic information recorded by ship AIS from a certain water area, we can get the former three parameters’probability distribution or probability density function, and put them into the Ship Produce Model.It is concluded from simulation that this model has a simple structure and is easy to understand. When the traffic parameters fit other distributions, this model gets a good reference value to make the Ship Produce Model perfect. Additionally, this model is a base way to study the situation of encounter.
