A Research On Traffic Safety Management Problems And Countermeasures Of Small Vessel In Pearl River Estuary

At present, Pearl River estuary waters only Guangzhou’s annual cargo throughput has exceeded 4 million tons, resides the world the fifth, ship daily traffic reached 5000 ships, ship traffic density increasing, vessel traffic accidents. Every year, bringing different degrees of casualties and huge large property losses, statistics show that small craft is the protagonist of each of a variety of marine traffic accidents, more than 80% of the marine traffic accidents are and small ships.In this paper, starting from the angle of the government department of maritime affairs management and services, comparing the domestic and foreign vessel traffic management and analysis problems and shortcomings existing in the Pearl River estuary waters small vessel traffic management. And based on the working practice and experience, provide measures, to improving the efficiency of vessel traffic, protection of the Pearl River Estuary marine traffic safety, protect the marine environment.
