Regional Features Of Plant Landscapes In Xi’an City

Globalization is the main theme of this era.China’s urban planning and landscape architecture have made considerable development in more than30years of reform and opening up.However, the geographical features is gradually losing because of the landscape "convergence".The embodiment of the regional landscape depends on the expression of garden plants in the landscape.With the rapid development of China’s urbanization, the search of regional characteristics is the problem waiting to be solved both in design and academia.Xi’an, one of the eight ancient capitals,which has3000years of city history, is a sign of the oriental civilization.Nowdays, Xi’an has settled the development direction of the historical and cultural features of the international positioning of modern metropolis.However, the rapid urbanization process also encountered the landscape "convergence".The purpose of this study is about how to use the local characteristics of its advantages to construct the regional characteristics of Xi’an Garden Plant Landscape and provide theory and reference to build international modern metropolis of Xi’an’s historical and cultural features.This study based on the literature collection and analysis explores and interprets the regional theory on landscape plants and research both domestic and overseas,also analyzes the regional characteristic Xi’an (natural, geographical, cultural and historical, etc.)Though literature and field research based on Xi’an nature, geography, history and culture and other integrated landscape analysis of the characteristics of garden plants in Xi’an,this study conducted a detailed survey and analysis (including urban greening status, focusing on the status of the Xi’an Garden Plant Landscapegarden plant species, native plants, trees, etc.). Xi’an common garden plant species has a total of440species, belonging to116families,231genera. Wherein, trees or small trees has a total of183, a total of157species of shrubs, herbaceous plants93, plant a total of lOFujimoto. Native plants in Xi’an garden plant species in the application, a total of79species, belonging to32families,59genera.This study analysed the constitute features of the kinds of garden plants in Xi’an and Xi’an Garden Plant Landscape regional expression profiling on the basis of seasonal characteristics, focusing on the regional characteristics of the streets, squares, three-dimensional Green Park and the courtyard garden plants in the landscape.The last analysis described the discovery and expression of the regional landscape characteristics.Xi’an garden plants in the landscape has formed the regional characteristics through the use of seasonal, local characteristics and configurations.But it still need to improve in the spatial layout of the plant configuration. Xi’an has a rich native plant resources while the useage in local gardens is relatively small. This study, which analysed and discussed on the regional landscape plants landscape in Xi’an, puts forward certain suggestions and references to the problems of the development and the regional characteristics in the landscape in Xi’an, also provide the reference on the construction of the regional landscape.
