To meet the fast-growing passenger transport demand, Medium and Long-term Rail Network Planning (adjust in2008) made clear that fast passenger corridor would be established among the capital cities and metropolis, planning "the four longitudinal four horizontal lines" and intercity passenger rapid transit system in developed economy and densely populated areas. Presently, our country passenger dedicated lines gradually tend to nets. By2020, more than1.6million kilometers passenger dedicated lines will be built, with EMU the main type train which runs suitably and allowably on the passenger dedicated lines. EMUs scheduling will greatly impact the efficiency and benefit of the whole passenger dedicated lines operation.Firstly, In our country, research on EMUs scheduling is still in the stage of exploration. By looking through many literatures, this paper summarizes the domestic and foreign research results and analyzes existent problems regarding to EMU scheduling, making an improvement on the existing research based on absorbing related research achievements. From the beginning, the paper described the EMU operation and basic research, introduced the basic theory of EMUs scheduling. This paper discussed the basic theory of EMU and the overhaul of EMU, analyzed the influence of EMU plan when it forms a network, and also under the condition of network the EMU use efficiency and factors were analyzed.this paper makes research from EMU maintenance aspect. Maintenance system and mode existent in the world is comprehensively analized.Secondly, this paper analyzes the Train diagram, Organizational model of high-speed rail transport, maintenance segment of the capacity and layout, use the rule of EMUs, EMUs use of plan preparation methods.Thirdly, the paper builds a mathematical model about multi-yard high-speed rail EMUs programLastly, this paper describes the implementation of the algorithm in detail with EMUs using scheduling of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, and validates the practicability of model and method.
