| Beijing Railway Station is one of largest Railway station, the important passenger traffic hub of Beijing, the portal Beijing city connected to other city. At the same time Beijing is China’s political, economic and cultural center, every year Beijing attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists, labor and people from all walks of life gathered in Beijing. In recent years, with increasing the number of motor vehicles and sharp increase city population in Beijing, the Beijing Railway Station as a major transportation hub in Beijing because of the large number of passengers assembled in the station which can’t be promptly evacuated, causing serious traffic congestion problems, so that passengers consuming a lot of time in traffic, reducing the efficiency of transfer passengers and vehicle. These traffic problems need to be resolved.This paper combination the actual research work of "Beijing Urban Railway Passenger and public transport system interface simulation optimization", a mentor program hosted by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, simulating Beijing Railway Station passengers leave the station and carried out optimization studies. In this paper, we use simulation software ED-PLATO, on the basis of field research Beijing station passenger and analysis of survey data, building a simulation model. By running the model we found that Beijing Railway Station passenger station transfer bottleneck areas are mainly in the taxi area, the subway line up to buy tickets and the area enter subway, Further studies showed that the use of the Beijing Railway Station subway facilities unreasonable, resulting in a traffic jam in the region, Also found that the bus is less important in evacuating passenger. In the end, this paper suggest that should strengthen the role of the subway and bus, and taxi area should be reasonable dispatch. The paper envisaged after strengthen the role of subway and bus, two subway station on the other side of the rode divert about33%of the passenger which take subway, the bus divert about30%of the total passenger leave Beijing station, passenger transfer efficiency will be improved significantly. |
