Actuator is the executor of electric control clutch. As the bottom facility of the electriccontrol clutch system, actuator’s basic function is to engage and disengage the clutch. In thepowertrain of parallel hybrid electric bus with double clutches, the electric control clutch isstalled between the engine and the ISG motor. It’s function is to ensure the switch of differentdrive modes. DC motor is the power producer of electric control clutch actuator. Actuator can becontrolled precisely during engagement and disengagement process by controlling the DCmotor’s rotate speed and rotate direction.Combined with the program I attended during my graduate studies, the developing work ofelectric control clutch starts by consulting literatures and analyzing the performance of clutch inengage and disengage process. And after understanding the main functional requirements clearly,the developing work concentrates on following aspects:(1) Introduce the research background, the development history and overseas and domesticresearch status of electric control clutch.(2) Study the clutch engagement process, the assessment criteria of engagement to prepare fordeveloping control strategy and design optimal engagement.(3) Design the control strategy of electric control clutch. According to the characteristics ofclutch engagement process, choose the engine output speed and ISG motor output speed as thecontrol parameters. Use integral separation PID as control algorithm. and then establish the rules of clutch engagement.(4) Select the hardware for the clutch system, such as DC motor, sensor, actuator.(5) Develop the software for the system. Select control parameters. Write control program basedon the control algorithm. Design a monitor program by using LabVIEW, so that it will be easy towatch and save the datas transmitted, and support the later period data analysis.(6) Build the test-bed. Do test and analyze the performance of the system. It’s proved thatperformance of the system can meet the requirements.
