After a lot of investigation to ZL4180semi-trailer frames, it has been shown that90%of the damage to the frames are caused by vibration which is due to its own dynamic assembly and rough road in vehicle operation. Therefore, it needs to optimize the semi-trailer frame, which is based on dynamic characteristics.Optimum design of semi-trailer frame structure system based on dynamic characteristic is accomplished by finite element analysis software ANSYS in this paper. First, this paper established the system of parametric model of semi-trailer frame structure. Second, this paper researched the static and dynamic characteristics of the frame. In the frame of static characteristic, the frame of distribution of stresses are mainly analyzed on fully loaded with torsion and bending condition, and the4key parts stress of the frame are extracted which is served as constraint condition of dynamic optimization design. Dynamic analysis includes modal analysis, harmonic response analysis and transient dynamic analysis. Dynamic rigidity of semi-trailer structure system is the most important parameter, which affects dynamic characteristics of semi-trailer structure system significantly. The key modal frequency is determined by modal analysis and harmonic response analysis. On the condition of the semi-trailer over the road obstacles, dynamic stress and displacement response of key parts are researched by transient dynamic analysis, and the parameters are extracted as the constraint condition dynamic of optimization design.Optimum design of semi-trailer frame structure system based on dynamic characteristic is accomplished by software ANSYS. First, the quality of system structure is considered as dynamic optimization objectives, and the20main structure parameters are selected as design variables, and the frame of the static stress, dynamic stiffness, dynamic stress and dynamic displacement are constraint conditions, sensitivity analysis has been done for section structure parameters to determine the7dynamic optimum design variables. Second, the dynamic stiffness of the frame is considered as dynamic optimization objective, and the quality of the frame is increased which is regarded as constraint conditions and others state variables remain unchanged, and7structure parameters after sensitivity analysis are as design variables, and optimum design of frame system based on dynamic characteristic is accomplished by first order optimization method. Finally, the paper put forward a design program of the semi-trailer frame with lighter weight, reasonable structure and high-performance static and dynamic characteristics.
