Research On Manufacturing Enterprise Facilities Layout Optimization

In an increasingly competitive global environment, manufacturing enterprise will be facing changeable and unpredictable continued global competition. In order to survive in the increasingly fierce competition, manufacturing enterprises must reduce the production cost. When the two major areas of resources and manpower is no longer have the potential for cost reduction,the area of logistics is still significant potential for reducing costs. The main objective of facility layout is to make the logistics enterprises reasonable,smooth and minimize material handling, most of the manufacturing enterprise wants to optimal facilities layout to achieve the purpose of reducing logistics costs, rather than investing more funds to build a new plant. Therefore, how to use the existing facilities, through a simple applicable facility layout optimization method for manufacturing enterprisesto support decision making in business.Firstly, this paper described the background paper presented、development and research conditions, and to overview the theory of facility planning. Secondly, proposed the related content of operations research and systems engineering theory in manufacturing system layout planning, but also described the related theory of facility layout, also highlight related content of system layout planning in system facility layout methods that the paper use. Then make some detailed explanation to the content which related to logistics systems analysis in manufacturing enterprise. Is again the system layout planning method which introduced front applies in a bicycle Manufacturing firm’s tubing workshop, by using SLP method for operating the plant and other units of the relationship between logistics to obtain preliminary layout schemes, and give comparison and evaluation on them to obtain the best schem to meet the requirements, then using the schem detailed layout of the facility layout. Through the re-arrangement of the manufacturing enterprise facility layout, reduce the production cost of enterprise and improve the production efficiency.Finally, make a brief summary to the practical application of SLP,and express some exceptions to development of manufacturing system facility layout planning.
