Through the calculation of carrying capacity of railway station, it seemed clear how to finish the task by current device; the weak links in device and operation were found; according to the growth trend of traffic volume, measures and decisions to strengthen the ability were earmarked foreseeingly. In order to organize transportation reasonably and configure the device resources effectively, the calculating methods of carrying capacity of railway station need to have higher accuracy and practicability.This paper had a research on three problems such as leisure coefficient calculation, data weakening and interval grey number of the result.The rationality and validity of this method was proved by a case of Midi Station. Solutions of this paper were as follows:(1) Weakening treatment of fixed facility operation time data of occupied station:the occupied time data sequence of turnout gathered on the site was generated in the influence of disturbance; therefore, the data sample fluctuation was weakened by using WAWBO of grey system theory so as to stabilize the data fluctuation;(2) Interval grey number presentation of carrying ability of station:under certain confidence level, the weakened time data was conducted with interval estimation; based on this, the greyness of grey number was used for describing the precision of data block; the bigger the greyness was, the lower the precision was; or otherwise; if the greyness did not reach the requirement, the data sequence was weakened again until it met the requirement;(3) Research of leisure coefficient:the leisure time of the throat point was related with the carrying capacity of block section, the reception and departure of passenger train, the time of other operations (preparation of locomotive for leaving and arriving at depot, wagon’s takeout and delivery, line-converting or pull-out turnout), the occupied time of turnout used for reception and departure of each freight or passenger train, and the indirect obstructive time of turnout; except for the indirect obstructive time, the other parameters were obtained easily; through the research on relationship between indirect obstructive time of turnout and parallel route, a parallel route calculating meter was used for calculating exact value of indirect obstructive time. Finally the value of lesure coefficient was obtained.This paper changes the preceding rough calculation method of leisure coefficient, reduces the interference of outlier by data weakening treatment, and guarantees reliability and accuracy of the result by interval estimation and greyness calculation.
