With the development of railway transport mode, the comprehensive transportation hubs with railway passenger station as main body have become the important part of large-scale comprehensive transportation hub. This kind of transportation hubs not only has the function of external transportation, but also the function of passengers’transfer between intercity and external transportation.The new type of this kind of transportation hubs are all large-scale and function-complicated, which means the transfer efficiency has been affected to a certain extent. Moreover, the transportation modes are developing so quickly that the passengers pursue not only speed, but also the convenience, comfort, and safety of trip.The design of transfer flow line in the comprehensive hub with railway passenger station as main body can directly influence the walking distance and time during transfer, which means the quality of trip is also influenced. Lots of built hubs have revealed many problems because the designers only considered the function of building without fully consideration of transportation function such as transfer function. As a result, large-scale hubs have very complicated transfer flow line, the length and conflict of them has restricted the efficiency of transfer.Based on the study of "Modular Design and Software System Development of Comprehensive Transportation Hub with Railway Passenger Station as Main Body" which is a project of railway ministry,this thesis mainly studies the design of flow line network and individual, and mainly discusses from the following aspects.The thesis analyzes the object of study when studying the transfer flow line, and proposes the design principles of the flow line network and individual, this thesis has also proposed the demand analysis and form, The last part put forward the pedestrian traffic character of facilities.This thesis studies the design of flow line network and individual, and mainly proposes the design steps of the individual.The design of flow line between railway and urban rail transport is proposed especially.This thesis has also proposed the simulation evaluation method and scheme comparison method of flow line design based on the software of VISSIM, using the method of grey relational evaluation model.Finally, the thesis analyses the case of Chengdu Eastern Passenger Station including the flow line network design and the flow line between railway and subway. The last part of this case gives the simulation of this individual flow line and the evaluation of two schemes, moreover, this method can give out which scheme is much better.The research can provide very important references in the transportation function design of buildings in comprehensive transportation hub with railway passenger station as main body. The built hubs can also reference this research to improve the transfer flow line.
