With the rapid development of the container transport industry, all the shippingcompanies and ports are facing an important topic, it’s that how to resolve the port containerstorage allocation and loading sequence reasonably, reduce the transposition rate and improvethe work efficiency in the yard. Terminal export container storage allocation will be stackedorderly in accordance with yard rules. The loading sequence is a core part of the containershipping in the container transport process. The work is to minimize transposition rate both inthe container loading and unloading as much as possible, and form the container loadingposition and sequence. It is that the container storage allocation and the loading sequencedirectly affect the driving safety of the ship and operating efficiency of yard machinery, so thestudy on container storage allocation and the loading sequence have a very importantsignificance for container shipping. With the rapid development of the modern control theory, optimization methods, artificial intelligence, various intelligent algorithms, such as geneticalgorithm (GA), neural networks (ANNs), ant colony algorithm (ACO), particle swarmoptimization (PSO) and so on, have been proposed to provide a new idea to resolve containerstorage allocation and loading sequence. It is possible that container ship stowage may bemanaged scientific by the computer systems. Taking a port as an example, with particleswarm optimization, a preliminary discussion with the slot allocation of the export containerand container loading is carried out in the paper with the following main contents.1.Based on the weight of the container and the port of destination, take flightinformation and yard display rules as the constraints, make export container loading path andthe planned transposition rate as the targets, a slot allocation model is established to fit theexport of container yard. The model is solved by particle swarm optimization, the numericalresults show that the model can reduce transposition rate, improve the operating efficiency ofthe yard machinery and has a certain practicality.2. According to the complexity of the terminal operation and the container ship, giventhe relationship of the transposition rate between the relative position of any two container inthe yard. Take all loading containers to the yard as the constraints, and considered the weightof the containers, make the loading sequence and the position which they loaded in the shipas the targets, a new integer programming model for container loading sequence is established with aiming container ship’s stability. A new solution algorithm is presented onthe basis of particle swarm optimization, the numerical results show that the model isfeasible and the algorithm is effective and practical through the Matlab.3. Analysis the relationship between the stability of the ship yard and containertransposition rate, integrated slot allocation of the export container and the loading sequenceon the basis of the known weight of the container, range and other information, maketransposition rate in the yard, the rate of unloading in the ship, and the ship stability as thegoal, a new integer model of the multi-objective planning is constructured. The model issolved by particle swarm optimization, and the results show that the model is rational throughMatlab simulation.
