In the currently context of fierce competition among ports,it is especially important to improve the service level and efficiency of the ports by enriching effective management of resources and developing intelligent dispatching.Container handling is one of the most significant parts for ports productions,the quality of container loading directly affects the efficiency and the cost of terminal handling.This paper aims at improving the efficiency of container handling in automated container terminals.Based on the introduction of classical layout type and loading process system of automated container,this paper takes the containers in the yard as the research object,and puts forward to the automated container terminal loading sequence problem;at the same time,according to the problem modeling needs,known and hypothetical conditions are elaborated in two aspects of terminal yard and container ship.On this basis,considering ship stability and container destination require,optimization problem model is built by minimizing stack yard and vessel turnovers.In this paper,the intelligent algorithm based on particle swarm optimization(PSO)is used to solve the problem model.Niche discrete particle swarm optimization(NDPSO)based on Tent mapping is designed,account for lower search precision of PSO algorithm during the optimization processing.Meanwhile,considering the growth of the factorial speed with the problem of the model dimension,two stage heuristic algorithm which the priority loading of the upper-storey-containers in the yard and the upper layer placement of the near-destination-box in the ship's cabin based on the space selection and the cabin mid-tank are designed to reduce the search scope of the algorithm in the process of solving,and the distribution result is used as initial optimal solution of particle swarm.In this paper,experimental conditions S1_S4 are designed aiming at the problem model,and on this basis,the recommended values of algorithm control parameters as swarm scale(m)and inertia weight(?)are confirmed.Subsequently,the experimental results of the two algorithms for solving the problem model show that: both the two algorithms converge to the respective optimal solution in a reasonable calculation time;compared with PSO algorithm,more excellent solutions can be traversed in the iterative optimization process by the NDPSO algorithm,the improved algorithm has been significantly ameliorated in convergence speed and search precision,and the average optimization of total turnovers is more than 30 percent.The effectiveness of the improved algorithm is verified.Finally,experimental results solved by the NDPSO were discussed and analyzed in two aspects of the algorithm characters and model indexes.The results of this study can provide a useful reference for the optimization decisions and related research of the automated container terminals loading sequence.
