With the increasing requirements of energy saving and environmental protection, the main research directions of the world shipbuilding industry began to focus on energy conservation and exploration of new energy. Solar energy is an inexhaustible green energy, solar photovoltaic system is a new power generation system which can use solar cell photovoltaic effect to converted sunlight radiation into DC.Solar photovoltaic power generation system has been widely used on land, but its application is still in the initial stage in the ship above. In order to explore the applications of solar photovoltaic power generation system on the ship to improve its conversion efficiency, this paper focusing on how to improve PV system power output researches solar panels automatic tracking control system and the maximum power point tracking control algorithms.Firstly, this article briefly describes the basic principles of solar cells, the equivalent model, and solar photovoltaic power generation system composition. Based on the characteristics of the marine environment and marine carrier, considering safety and the conversion efficiency of photovoltaic arrays, we analyze the installation pattern of solar panels on board.Secondly, according to the mathematical model of solar photovoltaic array and the maximum power point tracking, we will finish MATLAB simulation model of the photovoltaic array and verify its correctness; Through to the simulation analysis of four dc converter chopper device (Boost converter, buck converter, buck-boost converter and Cook converter), we evaluate the advantages and disadvantages; Through the analysis of DC-DC converter to achieve the principle of MPPT, we focus on researching the boost converter to achieve MPPT in order to lay the foundation for the completion of the maximum power point tracking control below.Next, this paper will briefly introduce the maximum power point tracking control technology principles of solar photovoltaic power generation system and describe three maximum power tracking control algorithms (the perturbation and observation method, the incremental conductance method and the fuzzy control method) and complete their flow charts and design methodin, then, complete the MATLAB/Simulink simulation Model. Based on the photovoltaic array model, the boost converter model and simulation algorithm model, we complete photovoltaic array maximum power point tracking control model and analyze the simulation results.Finally, according to the solar panels automatic tracking control system, we analys tracking principle and pattern and establish the mathematical model of the azimuth drive mechanism, and on this basis, the system is simulated in different open-loop gain of the system, the moment of inertia and the viscous friction coefficient, then, the simulation results will be analyzed.
