Marine propeller can transform energy provided by ship power plant into shipping propulsive force.Installation quality of marine propeller may directly affect ship navigation performance and safety. Most of large vessels newly built generally use oil injection method of fit for marine propeller at present, due to keyless fitting is safe and reliable,which can improve efficiency of propeller installation and ensure the assembly quality.This paper expatiates the calculating foundation of keyless propeller fitting in elastic range and investigates interference connection design concept and calculation method of Classification Society. A full scale ship is used as a prototype for establishing and analyzing the test model of the marine propeller interference connection by using similarity theory. Finally,the design of monitoring and controlling system for keyless fitting of marine propeller is completed. The main work of the paper includes:(1) Described the technical characteristics and the key technologies of keyless propeller fitting, including the installation principle and process.(2) Described the interference connection design concept and explored the calculation method of shrink range and pull-up length etc. And then this paper further analyzes the key points of calculation steps of marine propeller interference fit.(3)53800DWT bulk carrier is used as a prototype for establishing the test model of the marine propeller interference connection by using similarity theory. The pull-up length and push-up load of the tail shaft into propeller hub are calculated and analyzed according to classification societies rules. And the pull-up length selection principle are given in this text.(4) The displacement sensors and MEMS pressure sensors are used in real-time monitoring system for measuring the installation parameters. And electro-hydraulic proportional technology is adopted for precise control of the hydraulic system. The research and development of this system, not only ensure the precise control of pull-up length and push-up load on propeller hub,but also improve efficiency of propeller installation and assembly quality and decrease the work intensity. Meanwhile,this article provides the reasonable suggestion on the selection of pull-up length by means of depth research and analysis of the keyless propeller fitting technology and calculation method. This paper which gives basic theoretical research on keyless propeller actual installing is written to further improve the rationality and reliability of keyless fitting.
