With China’s rapid economic development and continuous improvement ofpeople’s consumption level, auto market and production is growing, the quality andsafety issues are also concerned about increasingly. How to record large amounts ofinformation completely, such as number of parts, production batch and production datein auto’s production and assemble site, is critical to the protection of auto in terms ofquality and safety. As an advanced automatic identification technology in informationstorage and transfer, Data Matrix two-dimensional barcode technology has been verypopular and in-depth in auto industry applications. From cylinder block, steel head,crankshaft, connecting rod, camshaft transmission valve body, valve seats and valvecover in engine, to many of key components, electronic ignition and airbags in clutch,Data Matrix two-dimensional barcode apply everywhere.However, with constant expansion of business scale, its information increasesdramatically, the information of auto parts management is also increasedexponentially.The traditional manual, telephone and fax information transfer mode hasbeen unable to adapt to the needs of the new parts management.Therefore, use ofinformation technology to achieve the synergy of corporate information, to changetraditional business mode, not only can improve the efficiency of enterprisemanagement, reduce after-sales service costs, but also can help enterprises improvetheir competitiveness.Data Matrix barcode is this paper’s study target. Combining the popular B/Sarchitecture, rich internet application, research and analysis a auto parts managementsystem based on Data Matrix two-dimensional bar code’s business flows, userrequirements and system architecture, and designed and implemented the main functionmodules of management system.This paper briefly describes the research background, discusses the research statusof the management system for small and middle enterprises in the automotive industryfirstlty. Then introduces required development environment, development tools anddevelopment techniques of auto parts management system’s design and development,describes the detail of the three aspects: system analysis, system design andimplemetation. System analysis module mainly analyse the system architecture,encoding and decoding processes and technology of Data Matrix two-dimensional barcode and demand analysis; system design is discussed from three aspects of the systemframework, function modules and database design; system implementation introducesimplementation process of main function modules, user interface. Finally, theproblems in the process of this paper are summarized, and solution is given.
