Research On Space Form And Function Ivansformation Of Lingshui Village Under The Background Of Industrial Transformation

As an ancient village to the west of Beijing, Lingshui Village has a longhistory of more than one thousand years and historical and cultural heritage. TheLingshui Village is well Known as The Village of Successful Candidates for theImperial Examinations. The people living in the Lingshui Village are advocatingculture from of old. The special courtyards, traditional str eets and lanes,ecclesiastical buildings, ancient and well-known trees, wellsprings and grain mills,are all historical and cultural heritage which possess profound rural culture formand function of special Beijing flavour.Because of the backwardness of rural areas, the Lingshui Village is facing theadjustments in the industrial structure. The tourism development of the ancientvillage provides an excellent opportunity for it whose industrial structure transformsfrom simple Agricultural Structure of Production to tourism industry. Meanwhilethe villagers that living in the Lingshui Village and whose living styles haveundergone fundamental changes which have largely influenced the village space.The form and function of the space of the Lingshui Village changes at the sametime.This paper is based on the research and analysis of the status of the LingshuiVillage, which states the inevtablility of the changes of the form and function of thevillage space under industrail transformation. The paper is div ided into fourchapters. The first chapter mainly introduces the research contents and subjects, thepurpose and significance of selecting the topic, as well as research statuses homeand abroad. The second chapter mainly analyzes the form and function of the villagespace of the Lingshui Village, which studys from the “people,activity,and space”three aspects. The third chapter talks about that the industrial transformation haschanged the industrail structure of the Lingshui Village, and the stytles of th eindustrial transformation. In the forth chapter, through fieldwork, taking picturesand datan, finding that the users and the usage mode of the Lingshui Village havebeen changed, and the activities that happen in the village have been changed aswell. Finally, it reaches a conclusion that the form and function of the village spacehas been changed.
