As an important traffic safety protection, train control system has the ability to improve transport efficiency. Based on wireless communication China train control system-3(CTCS-3) realizes wireless connection between vehicle and trackside to improve operational efficiency further. However, now the technical specification and key techniques of CTCS-3are under research. Therefore, it’s significant that building of the simulation system of CTCS-3can provide an effective test platform and experiment environment for the system design, the research of technical specifications, schemes comparison, equipment tests as well as teaching. In this dissertation based on technical specifications of CTCS-3, it analyses the structure and functional requirements of CTCS-3simulation system and the simulation subsystem of on-board equipment, and then designs and implements this subsystem. At first it designs the driver machine interface (DMI) with the references of the design specifications. The second, it accomplishes the interface between the simulation subsystem of on-board equipment and the radio block centre (RBC) to receive and process information getting from trackside, then it realizes information exchange with virtual RBC, including line data, temporary speed limits and movement authority (MA). It describes caculation method of traction, brake and running resistance based on multi-particle model of train and then realizes the algorithm calculation of trains. Based on the model of automatic train protection (ATP) it shows the curve algorithm of emergency braking speed, maximum braking speed, warning speed, permitted speed and real-time speed and the capacity of overspeed protection. It also introduces some basic strategies about automatic train operation (ATO) to control train operation with appropriate gears. Synchronously it designs train operation simulation module to display the real-time train operation better. Ultimately it carrys out the simulation subsystem of on-board equipment based on Visual C++6.0and debugs it.Finally, it records the data collected from the simulation system and compares with the data provided by manufacturers to prove the availability and practicality of this simulation system including haulingdistance, emergency braking distance, top speed of different traction levels. Then it makes simulation experiments with a section of line data to obtain the result about rationality of the line design.
