The Research Of The Design Of Minimal Living Space

Housing is an important carrier of human survival and development.In the context of thehigh-speed urbanization process under the world’s limited land resources, from everyone hasa room to live to everyone has a house,now back to the original state of resident owe thehouse which they live and living in their own houses. Ant tribe, humble abode,housing mortgage slaves provide the living space with new concept and significance of thetimes. The minimal living space includes low-rent housing in the government-subsidizedhousing project and some small common commercial estate. It adapts to the new housingneeds of the current society. Also it is a complement to china’s current housing structure.It is of great significance to study on the design of the minimal living space to improve thesituation.First, the paper summarizes the internal and external relevant theory and practice andexplains the meaning, content and purpose of this research. Then in the context of thehistorical background of China’s residential development and the current social and economicdevelopment the article points out the social and technical background of the minimal livingspace. Then the paper defines the concept of the research by studying the relevant concept,norms and standards.Afterwards,based on the plane types and design methods of a number ofinternal and external typical cases, this paper reports a study on the Wanhui building fromfamily structure, life styles, psychological limit and the intention of living,as the theoreticalbasis and the reference of the research of minimal living space.In the present study and theoretical research foundation, the paper aims at minimal livingspace less than40square meters transmission construction area, in order to improve thecomfort, intensive and efficient use of space.Firstly, minimal living space can be divided into nine types from living psychologicaland needs, the number of rooms and construction area. It is the classification of the researchof minimal living space.Secondly, through each functional space of minimal living space with the necessary basicfurniture, and human body size of movement, we can analyse the minimal plane and scale ofeach functional space. It is the foundation of indoor space combination.Thirdly, according to the minimal living space classification and the minimal plane andscale of each functional space,we can get the typical plane of each type of minimal livingspace by combining each functional space together and then combine the type of flat.Based onthe research of the public traffic space limit area, it extends to the huxing portfolio, traffic organization and standard layer use area of coefficient, to point out the advantages anddisadvantages of different standard layers.Finally, in the whole, the paper summarizes the generic policy of minimal living spacefrom functional composite, space loop, space division, double-storey space,2+X space andmodule space. I hope this research will play a beneficial role in the design work in the future.
