The function of safety valve as safety devices is to prevent the inner pressure from risingto more than allowable pressure, one of the most important performance indexes is to liftquickly and discharge in time under the action of overpressure media. According to dynamicsof safety valve, we can conclude that recoil effect of recoil dish plays a significant role indisc’s opening, which makes the open force multiplied with no need for great pressure of disc.Therefore, the research on recoil effect of the safety valve is very important. But so far, therehave been few published literature review to research this subject.This paper adopts the combination of theoretical and experiment method to analysis andcalculate the recoil effect. Theory section:1) first, based on the technology of the movinggrid and fluid-structure interaction, Pro/E software is used to establish a three-dimensionalasymmetric model, and through numerical simulation analysis software CFX, the dynamicsimulation is done for safety valve overpressure relief process. Besides, combined with thephysical significance of the recoil effect, and overcame the limitations of the recoil effect,realized the quantitative calculation of the recoil effect using the domain decompositionmethod.And two-dimensional symmetric model results are compared also.2)By changing therelative structural parameters of safety valve, which can affect the recoil effect, to find thequantitative relationship of the recoil effect and the key structures of valve.Experimental part:1) combined with the relief valve online detection system, first discpressure detecting curve is gotten, then also the curve about recoil force through physicsmeaning of recoil effect, besides, experimental results and simulation results on the openingprocess of safety valve are compared.2) By modifying the structure of the recoil dish, andsetting up monitoring points at the under edge of the recoil plate, we can monitor the changesof pressure monitoring points when the safety valve opens, and compare them with thepressure of the corresponding point of the simulation results. This method is proved to bereasonable.Through the experimental and numerical simulation, we obtain quantitative calculationfor the recoil effect of safety valve; meanwhile find the relation between recoil force and key structural parameters, which can be changed to control the size of recoil effect, thus plays animportant significance in performance analysis of the safety valve.
