| With the development of national economy, more and more river regulation works are done, but the implementation of these projects will change the size of the original cross-section of the river, the direction of water flow.etc. The problems like high flood water level of stasis, beam of water, erosion, deposit will occur with the projects being built. and also have impact on river stability, flood control and water management work. In this paper, take the start section of the Zhangqiu Xiuyuan River as an example, the impact of river regulation for the river flood control was studied.First, the situation of flood control in domestic and international was analysized. Based on current problems, explained the necessity for the assessment of flood control. Zhangqiu Xiuyuan River’s channel evolution was analysized and flood control assessment was calculated according to standard contents of flood control. Including:by choosing the formula of water line getting the typical cross-section water level, combined with impact of the project two old bridges and a new bridge get the river water line and analysize the flood capacity of typical cross-section; by the FESWMS module in SMS (Surface-Water Modeling System) modeling the changes of the flow field before and after, as well as the backwater of bridges, getting reasonable simulation results by adjusting parameters several times; the start sections of Zhangqiu Xiuyuan River get a comprehensive evaluation and recommendations and measures was proposed. |
