In recent years, the small construction machinery develops rapidly in the world. The innovation of the equipment manufacturing was put forward in China. It provides a good opportunity for technology innovation and structure optimization of small construction machinery.As a small multi-functional construction machinery, the skid steer loader not only has common advantages of small construction machinery,such as,compact structure, small size, light weight,etc, but also with all wheel drive, skid steer, flexible movement, can quickly articulated or to replace the working parts in action scene, etc.The Boom is studied in order of the overall function modules, Boom structure design, static analysis and optimization, motion simulation and analysis. Using the TRIZ theory and contradiction matrix, according to the structure characteristics and functional characteristics of skid steer loader, function module partition on skid steer loader is figured out. Through investigation the structure form of working device of the skid steer loader at home and abroad, the structure of the skid steer loader decide is designed. The position of each device hinged point and the size of stems is determined. The models of the Boom are finished.The different working conditions of the shovel is analysised, and the working condition with maximum force of skid steer loader is ascertained. The force on the bomm under maximum condition is calculate, and then these forces are compared to get the largest force is in the partial load combined bearing.The two kinds of structure Boom is analysised with finite element method to get the deformation and stress.Comparing the deformation and stress of the two structure, the four connecting rod structure is adopted finally. The Boom is optimized according the steps of the structure optimization to get the optimal size.The movement of the boom is simulated to get the acceleration curve of working Boom.The work device is verified the requirements use these curves.In this thesis, the design method based on the product characteristics of knowledge combined with modern design means is researched.The implement structure of the Boom is optimized through the seamless interface with SolidWorks and finite element analysis software to develop skid steer loader with better performance. The module partition of the skid steer loader is finished, providing reference for speeding up the seriation process of skid steer loader.
