Firstly, from the engineering geological point of view, geological factors of dynamic response of rock slopes are demonstrated in this thesis. Secondly, the mechanical characteristics of rock are studied, and the reasonability is proved in the numerical modeling of rock with FLAC3D by numerical modeling compression tests, dynamic tri-axial tests and dynamical shear tests of rock. Then, correct geological models of slope are built, basing on previous studies of rock structures, fast lagrange analysis of continua method and the fully nonlinear method in dynamic analysis with FLAC3D. After that, four rock slope models, with different inclination of structure surface, are applied the same horizontal dynamic loading. And one of them, the slope with structure surface of30degree inclination, is applied the Kobe earthquake loading. With analyzing their dynamic responses of displacement, velocity, acceleration and stress-strain relation, the result shows that (1) max-displacement of the slope with larger inclination of structure surface is bigger than that of one with smaller inclination of structure, and the main displacement of them are all in structure surface and the rock above structure surface.(2) Velocity and acceleration dynamic response of key-points in slopes are mess, but commons of their Fourier-spectrum and response spectrum are that predominant-periods are mainly controlled by the frequency of the dynamic loading, however, ranges of them and amplitude of velocity and acceleration dynamic response are influenced by the feature of each slope.(3) Plastic yielding of structure surface is the most serious in slopes. And stress-strain relations in structure surfaces are very different hysteresis curve. In a word, the rock structure is still a controlling factor in slopes deformation and instability during dynamic loading. Beside, more researches are need in dynamic constitutive relation of rock, and damage accumulation of rock, the influence of dynamic loading feature and dyn-hydro-coupling in slopes response during earthquakes.
