Rapid Development of Rail Transit require higher and higher quality and performance for Urban Rail Vehicle. Uniform distribution of wheel axle loads of metro vehicles has significant importance for improve the running quality. Deviation of wheel axle loads will have a direct impact for the full play of adhesive tractive effort and brake performance of the whole vehicle, thus affect tractive capacity, operation safty, stationarity and comfortableness of the vehicle. Uniform distribution adjusting of wheel axle loads has been an important subject in the design and manufacture process of metro vehicles.The uneven load distribution of the vehicle body’s secondary spring support point is the key reason which cause the uneven distribution of wheel axle loads of metro vehicles. A simplified mechanical model of vehicle rigid body is set up. This paper has proposed analysis methods based on tension-free position and uniform distribution of loads, and has compared these two analysis methods by system measured datas. Through either of these two methods, we can get the target load of the vehicle body’s spring. As after spring adjustment of vehicle body and bogie, the wheel axal loads may still uneven when weighing the whole vehicle body, this paper has analysed the reason of this problem through a simulated model of type A metro vehicle. An analytical model for wheel load adjustment of metro vehicle is set up and force analysis has been made for the wheel set and bogie. The relation for the first and secondary pad and wheel load variation caused are derived in this paper, which is very important for conducting the wheel load adjustment testing. Based on this, a special spring adjusting calculation for vehicle body’s secondary load with measuring load successively approximating target load has been designed. The adjustment scheme of wheel load distribution on rail cars based on full-car model was put forward.In order to realize the automation and intelligent of spring adjustment technology and improve production efficiency of railway vehicle, based on spring adjustment model research, this paper has developed the weighing load regulation test system and give detail introduction of the working principle, hardware composition and software design of this system. Practical application approved that the system has the advantages of simple operation, safe and reliable operation and can meet a variety of rail vehicle test requirements. The effectiveness and rationality of this calculation method have been approved in practical application.
