Circulating water secondary filter can not only ensure the condenser cleaningoperation,but also has great effect on the flow field of the condenser’s inlet waterroom. The comparative study of the different type of secondary filter effecting flowfield homogeneity of condenser inlet water room has important significance forimproving type of the secondary filter and enhancing the flow field homogeneity ofinlet water room.Firstly, defining the well-shape secondary filter and punching-shape secondaryfilter as the research object, a3D model was established with the SoftwarePro/E.Then, the two kinds of secondary filter and a assembling drawing of both thesecondary filter comes out. Besides, the numerical simulation of variation ofcirculating water flow field in the condition of the two kinds of secondary filter wascarried out through the computing fluid dynamics FLUENT software, their rectifierstrength and water resistance were analyzed contrastively, and their resistance curveswere traced out at different circulating water fluxes.Secondly, defining a valley type and double flow condenser in a coal-firedpower plant as the research object, a3D model was established with theSOLIDWORKS software,its total flow field on the side of water was numericallysimulated through FLUENT software, then the sizes and the locations of vortex in thethree large water rooms were confirmed, what offers some advices for theimprovement of structure of the water rooms in the condenser.Finally, the circulating water velocity distribution vector after one meter of thetwo secondary filters calculated in front were guided into the inlet of valley typecondenser, and the condenser pipe bundle area was simplified as the porous mediummodel. Then, a comparative analysis on each flow field of the condenser’s inlet waterroom influenced by the two kinds of secondary filters was carried out.The research results above indicates that (1) the circulating water pipes with each secondary filter have the rectification to circulating water, in contrast,thewell-shape secondary filter can be behaved a few more apparently.(2) Both of thesecondary filters increase the resistance of the circulating water,in contrast, the onewith the well-shape secondary filter is smaller.(3) The uniformity of flow velocitydistribution of the inlet water room in condenser with well-shape secondary filter isbetter as well as smaller vortex and turbulent energy.
