Hydraulic system has the advantages of a lightweight structure, large transmission ratio, smooth running, easy to implement variable speed and automatic control, etc.It has been widely used in industrial production’s various fields."Hydraulic transmission" is an important basic course of Chinese colleges and universities’ machinery-related professional, teaching in colleges and universities in the hydraulic transmission, experimental teaching is one of the important parts. With the expansion of school enrollment, the number of students to schools is larger and larger, while instruments and experimental equipment is relatively less and falling behind. Therefore, the topic of how to reduce the cost of inputs, but can greatly improve the current hydraulic experimental teaching’s relatively backward status appeared.In this paper, adopting virtual instrument technology, using the software LabVIEW as a development platform,It designed the hydraulic comprehensive experimental system including some typical hydraulic experimental module which the teaching experiment required. This paper includes the following aspects:First, the paper gived a brief introduction to the background of the virtual instrument technology, features and research status; and LabVIEW development process and development prospects;Second, the paper gived a brief description of the current status of hydraulic experiments which the universities carried out, the basic principles and various typical experimental test contents which they contained;Third, based on hydraulic principles of typical experiments, the paper designed the virtual hydraulic comprehensive experimental system for the hydraulic respectively from hardware and software aspects;Fourth, the paper used the existing conditions to test and verify the design of the performance parts in the integrated experimental system.Through the test and verify by experiments, from the datas and curves obtained from the experiments, They show that the system has high accuracy and practicality. It provides a better platform for the college’s hydraulic experiments. At the same time,according to the actual experimental needs, the system can expand the functions on the basis of the system to accommodate a wider range of practical needs.
