Substation’s simulation and training has an important role in operating engineers training and joint anti-accident training, the biggest advantage is:the accident phenomena、the incident handling process and results are consistent with production field. Many studies have been made in substation’s simulation and training system. After20years of development, substation’s simulation and training system has been widely used in power systems training.The trainees、training contents、technical difficulty and development time on the impact of simulation range and degree have been studied. Accordingly, the500kV substation’s simulation and anti-accident exercises system has been determined to be a system considering simple grid. The advanced technologies as equipment dynamic model、the method combined with judicial syllogism and setting comparison、 dynamic point mode and man-machine interface are used in the system. And the simulation of primary equipments、protection relaying and automation device、 monitoring system and miss-locking system are realized. The database is combined with commercial database and real-time database. The distributed simulation run support system is used to configure the interface of single substation and dispatching.The study on the applications of system functions is carried out. These applications meet the requirement of operating engineers training and joint anti-accident training, achieved good results. The evaluation system of the500kV substation’s simulation and anti-accident exercises system has been build.The study on substation’s simulation and anti-accident exercises system has important significance. The research on the simulation range definition provides the basis for system planning and design. The technology combined with judicial syllogism and setting comparison dynamic point mode man-machine interface、database and distributed simulation run support system improves the simulation effect significantly. And the functions improve the skills and incident handling capability, such as inspection training、switching operation training and joint anti-accident training. The evaluation system provides the basis for system assessment and improvement.
