Power plant equipment is the core of power production and an important support for economic development. In this context, to ensure safe and stable continuous operation of power plant equipment is particularly important. In this paper, it starts with the optimization of power plant equipment maintenance, through the power plant equipment maintenance program identification and optimization, in-depth studies of the optimization for power plant equipment maintenance project and the optimization for maintenance progress, establishes the related optimization model is verified.The content of the maintenance program and the optimizing process of maintenance program are described in this paper theoretically. For the lack of related research on maintenance optimization, existing power plant equipment maintenance optimization theory can only achieve the aim of being optimal in technology or being most economic in cost. There is no relevant quantitative criteria and quantitative demonstration. To solve the above problem, power plant equipment maintenance program optimization methods based on value engineering is presented in this paper. This method takes value engineering principles into concern of the maintenance program optimization, co-ordinates maintenance technique and economy cost, and considers stages of the equipment design, use and maintenance comprehensively. When the maximum effectiveness of the maintenance program is set as the optimal target, the optimal implementation plan of maintenance is concluded, by using the AHP and other quantitative analysis.Reducing power plant maintenance costs is an important way to improve the power enterprises production efficiency, for the current situation that maintenance assessment index is too single and the problem of high complexity is difficult to solve by common maintenance optimization methods, power plant multi-objective maintenance projects optimization model is established and solved by a method of fast-non-dominated-sorting genetic algorithm with elitist strategy (NSGA-II) in this paper. This method overcomes the previous problem of single optimizing assessment index and improves the efficiency and robustness of the problem solving efficiency.Maintenance of project schedule management is an important part of maintenance works. The progress management of maintenance projects is optimized in this paper from the perspective of maintenance and management after coming to the power plant equipment maintenance project. With in the comparison to the past network diagram method based on CPM/PERT, the maintenance project progress optimization model based on critical chain is proposed. This method is fully to consider maintenance resource constraints and maintenance processes logic, simple and science, and to facilitate on-site maintenance practical application.
