The former maintenance methods for power generation equipment mainly include time-based maintenance and break-down maintenance. Although these methods can guarantee the safe operation to some extent, but sometimes they can cause over or less maintenance which waste a lot of human and material resources. Compare with the shortcoming of traditional maintenance system, condition-based maintenance merit more prominent. It is the lowest cost model which gives reliable technical and managerial support for the safe and stable operation of equipments. Because condition-based maintenance can bring huge Economic efficiency, it is very necessary to implement this maintenance model. But now it is very difficult to implement this maintenance mode entirely because of the technical limitations and other factors. Under current conditions, we shall implement the reliability centered maintenance which can integrate condition-based maintenance, time-based maintenance and break-down maintenance through the adoption of advanced failure detection and identification technology, reliability and life assessment techniques. This article is based on this idea, and do research in the GMS optimization, reliability analysis of equipments and the maintenance management automation.Based on the analyzing the existent maintenance' s shortcoming, this paper improve the method for breakdown coefficient, and propose a new mathematical model to optimize the GMS which can consider power system capacity, equipment state and maintenance costs at the same time to give a safe, stable and economical maintenance scheduling.Through the research of the application of fuzzy theory and fault tree analysis, this article proposes a reliability analysis method for power generation equipment which uses the fuzzy fault tree analysis.
