With China’s rapid development of economic and social, urban construction alsoexperiences a fast development, the faster large infrastructure and industrial buildings tobuild, and the more higher building height or. Excavation, as the basic engineering of anumber of construction projects, the more dig deeper. Because of technology, mismanagementand other reasons, there have been many accidents caused tremendous economic losses to thestate and society, a delay of duration, or even caused by the neighboring buildings collapsedand casualties, resulting in a negative social impact.Very complex, the reasons for the high safety incidents of pit-depth analysis of thereasons, we must apply the theory of system safety engineering, in-depth analysis of riskfactors in the foundation excavation, the pit safety issues and actively forecasting andassessment, combined with China’s specific national conditions, the proposed controlmeasures, and ultimately the safety management system and management methods to improveconstruction safety warning and Control System, in order to further prevent and reduceaccidents. This paper studied the safety risk of excavation from the following four aspects totake the necessary measures to reduce the pit construction safety risk.First of all, in the background of the rapid development of infrastructure and the increaseof the foundation pit accidents, the article states the purpose of the study. And in accordancewith the purpose, the paper studied and analyzed the status of the safety management ofconstruction projects at home and abroad, risk theory and the foundation pit of the excavationengineering safety risk assessment.Secondly, the paper summarized the theory of pit construction safety risk assessmentfrom followings: the first outlines the definition, characteristics and classification of risk;Second, the analysis of common security in the construction process of the foundation pitconstruction category; third the pit construction safety risk identification, estimation andevaluation process and the identification method.Thirdly, the principle of a building foundation excavation safety risk assessment systemwas given, and the building evaluation index system was analytical. Then, the author build afoundation pit construction safety risk assessment system. And the results encountered in theactual construction of the excavation project security risk compared to verify the validity ofthe security risk assessment model.Fourthly, the paper use this to build a foundation pit evaluation index system andevaluation model analysis to determine the construction safety risk level of the foundation pit. And the result with the foundation pit engineering project construction in relative safety riskthan, which testified in this paper the design of foundation pit engineering safety riskassessment model.
