With the rapid development of urbanization construction, the government ispromoting the development of bulk cement. Bulk cement is a important way forenergy saving,environmental protection,resource conservation and comprehensiveutilization. Bulk cement vehicle can reduce the pollution of the environment andenergy consumption by delivering bulk cement from cement plant to concrete mixingstation or other fixed tanks or vessels and automatically unloaded. At present, bulkcement vehicle has become one of the rapid developed special vehicle varieties.Owing that the bulk cement vehicle belongs to the small batch product of many types;enterprises usually manufacture it without a design blueprint. Such situation causeshigh production costs. The quality of products also descends. Therefore the structurestrength,body weight and dynamic performance of auto product should be analyzedand optimized by taking advantage of CAE/CAD technology in product design anddevelopment stage,thus to shorten the development cycle and enhance thecompetitiveness of enterprises. In this thesis,a3V bulk cement vehicle tank systemwas taken as the research object. Structure of the tank is analyzed by making use offinite element method, and some improvement suggestion are put forward.The main research works in this thesis are as follows:(1) A finite element model of a3V bulk cement tank system is established, thedevelopment process,basic theory and analysis steps of finite element method and twotypes of finite element software are introduced. Some problems for building the finiteelement model are discussed.The finite element model of the barrel, fluidized bed,bearing and frame of the3V bulk cement vehicle are established;(2) The modal analysis is performed to get the vibration characters, includingwhole torsion,bending and local modes;(3) The static characteristics of tank are analyzed; mainly include strength andstiffness analysis in bending condition;(4) Through the finite element analysis, some improvement suggestions are putforward, and the problem of insufficient stiffness and strength are solved throughcomparison with the original model.In this thesis, the modal analysis, strength and stiffness analysis are taken to a3Vbulk cement vehicle tank structure based on the finite element method, then some improvement schemes are proposed, and the effectiveness of the improvementschemes is verified through the simulation results.
